Axel Heinz take the direction of Chateau Lascombes the second Growth (2nd Grand Cru Classé Margaux).
Next summer General Director of Ornelaia et Massetto (family Frescobaldi) in Toscany Axel Heinz who has earned the reputation of the world’s top winemakers during his time in Bolgheri will take the direction of the Chateau Lascombes. Château Lascombes was purchased Gaylon Laurence , owner of the Heitz Cella in Napa Valley in partnership with sommelier Carlton McCoy 6 months ago, in November 2022.
Axel Heinz accepted the offer to become CEO of the Chateau. Born in Germany Heinz grew up in Bordeaux, studied in the university of Bordeaux and worked at Bordeaux Chateaus early in his career. He told that being half Bordealais it was for him a time to move to Bordeaux after 18 years in Toscany.
