Bordeaux Wine festival 14th - 18 June 2018

Bordeaux Wine Festival - the biennial event that will take place from the 14th to the 18th June 2018.  This festival  launched in the 1990s by Alain Juppé  has become one of the most important European wine tourisme events.

2018 is a special year for the festival. The Festival celebrates it’s 20th anniversary. And the Guest of honour  will be Tall Ships  Regatta. The world’s biggest sailsboats will arrive to Bordeaux from  Liverpool via Dublin . During 5 days Bordeaux will become the world’s capital of wine and sailing.

The hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected  to walk along  a 3-kilometer wine road of the Garonne river quais and to meet Bordeaux winemakers representing about 80 appellations.

To discover Bordeaux and the Nouvelle Aquitaine’s region wines the Wine Tasting Pas sis necessery.

The Wine Tasting Pass  offers for 5 days :

  • 12 tastings at the booths
  • a glass and a glass holder
  • 1 public transport ticket
  • 1 tasting workshop with the Bordeaux Wine School


From Thursday 14th to Sunday 18th June the sailboats can be visited. Visits are free and without reservation from 10 :00am to 6 :00pm.

The departure parade will take place on Monday the 18th of June at 11 :00am on the garonne.

During the festival every evening the Garonne will be fired by a big pyrotechnic show. Brass bands and orchestras, concerts, ferries wheel wil animate every moment of  Bordeaux - Moon port and UNESCO heritage.
